What is the earliest memory you have?
Walking on a wet day down the pavement near our house in Hale, running my hand along the brick wall, and stopping touching the wall when the holly bushes appear, because they’re prickly.
I can remember going to school, and sitting on the floor of a classroom cross-legged. There was a teacher or administrator who’s last name was Parker, so everyone called her Nosy Parker, but I’m sure she was very nice. I wore a uniform. I remember never knowing the day of the week when we had floor sitting time, but I always wanted to be right, so I guessed Thursday every day (but I didn’t get called on every day).
