Busyness
I’ve been a poor poster lately, for a variety of reasons. The central theme, however, is busyness. Which should really be spelled business, which leads me to start thinking about the real meaning of what it is that happens all around the world everyday. Now seems like a good time to mention that my views…

Story Time
Eleanor has started to read books. She’s fascinated by them. It’s interesting because of the twins, she’s the maniac. She wants to go at 100%, 100% of the time. So when she sits down and focuses on something, it’s kind of a relief. Anyway, she sits down with some board books (she really can’t do…

Lyrics I don’t know (and then some!)
We’re all guilty of this. Here are some of my infractions (along with ones I know about and wish I were guilty of). Song: Rock the Casbah (Clash) Lyric as I sing it: Sharif don’t like it, Rocking the Casbah Actual: Sharia don’t like it, Rocking the Casbah I admit, this makes more sense. I…

Good mornings
Hanging out in jammies waiting for the day to start. My life. I love it.

Rocking
My parents have a rocking horse that my dad made for my oldest sister in the late 70s. They have a photo of her as an infant on the rocking horse, and various photos of my other sister and I on it. Beginning with my oldest sister’s children, my parents have made a point to…

Time and numbers
When I was very small, the school I went to, Stamford Park, would gather all the pupils in this big open area in the morning before classes began to go over general information. One activity would be asking the students if they knew what the day (and possibly date) was. I was three or four,…

Battery life
I truly wish that my earbuds could share the burden of battery life when I’m listening to music on my iPhone. Streaming music drains the battery, which seems like a silly thing to do when music via headphones is only one small part of my use.
