Early one morning last week, I was lying on my side when something woke me a little. I opened an eye and saw Eleanor; she was sleeping between us, and just stirring. I went back to sleep.
Sometime later, I felt something lightly thud on my shoulder and chest. A little giggle. Then it went away. Then, thud, giggle. Then it went away again. Then, thud, giggle. I open my eyes, and Eleanor is leaning back against my chest. She turned her head toward my face and tilted it back to catch my eye, grinned at me, sat up again, and once again did a trust-fall back onto me, giggling.
