Today I am 45 years old. That is a sturdy number. Makes me think of records and VE Day (which is actually coming up on May 8).
I’m going to count my blessings. I’ll just go back to the beginning of this year, as there are almost too many to count.
My neighbor made me a cake! It is delicious, I broke into it last night.

Bob sent me flowers, so even though he’s on a work trip right now, I still feel very loved.

Eleanor is getting into drawing on paper more, which I love (she’s aces at digital work).

Grant is letting me pull back his hair when he brushes/flosses, which has been a game-changer in terms of not getting toothpaste in his hair.

Grant ALSO received a huge goodie box from Delta, and it made him so, so happy (which made me so, so happy).

We were able to spend time at the beach.

HENRY!

We took the kids on a distillery tour and they tolerated being bored. They also seem tall? Are they getting tall?

Grant was goalie during intermission at a Sabres game.

I saw a dog at the Centurion Lounge.

I saw my friend Alex! And my friend Kelly (not pictured), and ate at Dishoom which was DELICIOUS.

I spent a few hours in Hyde Park, and it was a lovely treat.

I mean.

I took a nice photo of my mom and dad.

Eleanor looked fantastic as Professor Willard.

I got a nice photo of my children and my parents together.

I saw this beaut in the wild.

Eleanor showed me this absolute treat. Why am I obsessed with them?

We lost Socks, and then we found him! (In a nice lady’s basement)

Grant and I both did one silly picture without telling each other.

I saw my beautiful friend, Nora, for her baby shower! (And baby Hannah is now here!)

I drew a strawberry.

Am I not the luckiest? It will be a very good year.
