Henry had a hearing appointment today. His left tube is out, but sitting in his ear canal. His left ear has perfect hearing! His right tube is working its way out, and the ear drum is responding appropriately. He goes back in October, after a few months of school to make sure that he’s hearing properly. The doctor recommended dragging our feet on ear tube placement (if his hearing seems a little off) over the summer, because the better weather generally means less illness, and better overall hearing (less fluid), and because he’s right at the age where he may not ever need tubes again anyway. We’re basically (sort of) tentatively done with the ENT (almost)!
Here he is explaining to the audiologist about the moth cocoon he has in a jar in the garage.
