That is much more accurate. There’s a neat bakery right by Bob’s work, so he brought home some lovely, dense “sweet wheat” bread that was perfect for this.
Where I grew up, we called it egg in the eye. My aunt from the south called it toad in a hole, and some daycare kids I had from WNY call it hole in one. So interesting to hear all the different variations!
