It has been very cold in the past few weeks, with the past few days rather warm. We have had persistent, low-lying fog as the snow and warm air collided. Now the cold groundwater and the warm air are doing battle, with much the same effect. Sometimes it’s also raining or drizzling, but the overall vibe is “damp”.

It’s been grey for weeks out, but today was one of those special days where all the trees are fairly vibrating with green lichen and moss. It’s a wellies type of day, and the pup and I did make our way through puddles and mud on our walk.
