I’m pleased to report that the skies are, indeed, friendly.
On both our flights yesterday, Bob and I were seated across the aisle from each other. He had Eleanor as a lap child and I ministered to Henry in his car seat. The seat next to Bob was empty both flights. On the first flight, that meant Eleanor got her own window seat. She stood at the window and said “whoa!” repeatedly. Henry was very content in his car seat the whole time.
I was determined to let haters hate and not feel badly or guilty, but I think I underestimated people. There were no haters. People loved the twins. We wheeled them through the airports in their car seats (wheels snap onto the back, making the car seats like rolling luggage) and everyone from pilots to businessmen to college kids commented on how great that was.
It was a great experience.
