Besides having a very generous parental leave policy, Automattic also sends the newest members of the family a little care package.  I don’t want to divulge everything in the package (so that it’s a surprise for other parents), but it includes a WordPress onesie and other small things for the baby and parent to enjoy.…

Today the boys visited Brick Fair again, where Henry got to do some building and jumping in the bounce house before they toured the convention center once more. Finally on the long drive home, Henry has reported fallen into a deep and probably Lego-filled sleep. 

Bob took Henry to Brick Fair this weekend. It’s in Chantilly, Virginia, and is a huge Lego festival.  Henry has been excited to go for days, and has been busy building all sorts of original spaceships in anticipation (although visitors can’t bring in their own builds). Henry and Bob got caught in the rain waiting…

Ok and a bunch of other stuff. But I’ll share Salt-n-Pepa since now the song is in your head. After birth, you have a lot of excess fluid in your body. Your body handily deals with this in a number of ways. You pee a lot, you bleed for a few weeks. You have insane night sweats…

Henry and Eleanor each have a Kindle Fire (kids edition). We got these in anticipation of Grant being born, since they would get less attention, at least at first.  We weren’t super into the idea of getting them their own tablets at 4.5, but it’s been a few months now, and I don’t have many…

Grant had his one month appointment today. He’s doing great – he is measuring between the 25th and 50th percentile for length, weight, and head circumference.  As of today, he weighs 9lbs 2.5oz, he is 21in long, and his head is 15in around. When the doctor put him on his belly, he held himself up…
